Work Issue

Tonight was definitely an eye-opener for me at work. I realized that I let someone get away with treating me like shit at work because I was afraid of saying something to a manager; they think that I am blowing things out of proportion etc. I didn't do anything tonight to make him stop treating me this way. He bossed me around, tried to tell me how to do my job, and demanded that I do everything so he can stand around and talk. He also acted like I killed his puppy when I gave him the cold shoulder. He was a complete asshole to me and I did nothing to warrant it. I didn't do anything to change the situation because I wanted to keep my job and not jeopardize everything I have worked towards at work. But, after thinking on it and processing the whole thing, I have decided to say something despite the consequences I may have to deal with. I don't allow anyone to treat me that way so why should he get away with it? I am ashamed to have let him get away with it tonight at all. When I worked at McDonalds I got someone fired for sexual harassment. I wasn't afraid to do anything about it because I knew that if they didn't do anything about the situation I could find a new job. Unfortunately in this economy finding a job is a little bit harder. At this point though I care more about my dignity and pride then about my job. I don't allow anyone to treat me like shit.

Well my classes end in two days and I have four chapters left to cover before then. Ugh. I'm so fucking stressed lol and now I have to worry about getting my FAFSA form filled out so I can try to get some student grants. Of course it would be nice if either my dad or mom would step up and give me their tax info; I need to use theirs' until I turn 23; which is fucking stupid. My mom won't even return my calls. I left her a message asking her if I could use her tax info so instead of calling me back she calls my brother to let him know that I can't use her info but doesn't say why. I asked my dad for his info almost 3 months ago...he still hasn't done his taxes. He's gonna screw me over again this year like he did last year. I have almost 4,000 dollars that I borrowed because I didn't get any grants because it was too damn late in the year. And what's worse is he is ignoring my phone calls as well and not calling back either!!! It's very frustrating!!! What the hell have I done to them that they want to fuck me over like this???!! It really pisses me off. I'll remember this when they are asking something of me. You know I keep giving chance after chance and i'm tired of that. I'm tired of my whole fucking family right now. Hopefully this time next year I will be getting my own place or getting ready to move into a dorm room.

American Idol

This is my first time watching American Idol since the very first season when Kelly Clarkson won the title. But after seeing a blog about Adam Lambert I have to say that it has motivated me to watch the episode tonight on the final three. Adam Lambert is a truly amazing performer/artist with the moves, stage presence and charisma to make it. :) Even if he does not win American Idol I can see him going far and making lots of albums.

I just turned a 'friend' in to the police. She posted pictures of herself holding a stolen yield sign. I asked her if she took it and she didn't deny it. She said to another person that she actually took two. Maybe I should have let someone else turn her in..but those signs are there for a reason; what if someone gets in an accident? People around here are notorious for driving faster than they should and not paying a lot of attention. Somewhere out there a road sign is missing and someone might be going too fast and run into another car. Generally in my town yield signs are only put in high traffic areas or areas where people should yield but usually don't. I'm not a perfect person; I've done some pretty stupid things in the past. But I have never intentionally jeopardized anothers' life because I wanted to have some fun or steal something that is not mine to take just for the sake of having a souvenir. I didn't think it would be right to sit on the knowledge and not do something. She also told another person that she was planning on stealing a stop sign next. I want to be a good person; I want to be able to help my community since I live in this town. Perhaps someone has already reported that a sign is missing, who knows? But now the police know who took it as well and hopefully they won't steal signs again after this. I know that if they mention my name when they bring her in that I will have probably burned a lot of bridges with people I know but I honestly can't bring myself to care. In my mind stealing a road sign is about as bad as handing a person a gun and telling them to go shoot someone. She has set someone up for a potentially fatal accident just so she could have fun. I really hope she learns her lesson.

it would depend on who the friend is. Generally no i would not say anything...I would approach someone else and have them say something to the friend. I don't like to get involved in that stuff anymore than I have to.
